We are a music group dedicated to exploring folk music from Greece, Turkey, the Balkans, the Middle East, India, and beyond.
Our love for both traditional music, and electronic music has led us to a unique sound that bridges the past and the present.
Since 2013, we have been exploring the fusion of ancient sounds with modern technology.

We have evolved a lot and continue to evolve.

In the early days it was all about processing. Our instruments, like the frame drum set, clarinet and sandouri, were processed with multiple effects through Ableton Live. The results were a unique sci-fi dub sound with the instruments being pitch shifted, delayed, cut up, dialed in and dubbed out!

Then we explored "trap" arrangements with exaggerated breaks, builds, and drops, done using the pure (almost) acoustic sound of our instruments, rather than heavily processed sounds. Traditional folk rhythms and scales were employed over modern arrangements.

We continue to explore modern genres, and being from Chicago, we have been immersed in house music since the 90's! Stay tuned for our next iteration!
